New Sync Feature in Ford Focus Outshines Rest of Re-design
This year's Ford Focus has a totally new interior and exterior design. But for some reason Ford has chosen not to update the car's platform. So North American's are basically driving around a Focus that has only changed cosmetically since 2000, even though a second generation Focus has been across the Atlantic for years. But putting that decision aside for a bit, what the BuyingAdvice Team feels is truly newsworthy are some of the features that have been added to the Ford Focus this year.
The hottest new feature is the new Sync System which resulted from a collaboration between Ford and Microsoft. Sync allows a driver to plug in any mp3 device and navigate through play-lists using easy controls on the steering wheel or voice-activated commands. You can also plug in your cell via a Bluetooth wireless connection and use its functionality in the same way. This is by far one of the coolest features to be unveiled this year. Sync plus a coupe version, standard side airbags and an option that lets you set what LCD color the cup holders and footwells light up with have successfully distracted us from the Focus's shortcomings.
If you are not as easily swayed by gadgetry, you may want to research the Honda Civic with more safety features standard. Also worth looking into is the Mazda3 or the Dodge Caliber.

While Ford has done a good job distracting drivers from what are some serious concerns of Focus enthusiasts, a daily driver will benefit greatly from Ford's efforts to increase the time your hands spend on the wheel. With standard side-airbags and controls for the most distracting of a driver's worries, Ford has raised the bar in making our driving experiences safer. No longer will we have to take our hands off the wheel to change the track our iPod's are on, or even answer the phone. With a few simple touches to the wheel, you are on your way down a much safer road in the new Focus.

If you’re interested in a Ford Focus, it would be worth your while to test drive a Pontiac Vibe. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a Ford girl and proud owner of a 2004 Mustang, but last year I rented a Vibe for a few days and fell in love with the car. It wasn’t a hotrod by any stretch of the imagination, but it was surprisingly peppy and fun to drive. The Vibe gets great gas mileage and it has a sporty feel both inside and out. The interior is roomy and comfortable with plenty of storage space, though I recommend buying mats for the cargo area because the vinyl scratched quite easily.

I Love the technology these car companies are putting into their driver's seat. This obviously markets to the younger crowd. But,they will eat it up i see tons of these things flying around and the less their hands are occupied with anything else but driving the better.
