Beware! New Car Warranty Scam

New Car Warranty There is a new car warranty scam out there that is costing many unsuspecting drivers a lot of money. Here's how the scam works:

You get a call one day informing you that your car care warranty has expired and that you are now responsible for any repairs that the car may need. But you are in luck! If you act right now you can purchase a new car warranty at a very low rate. But if you want the deal you must act now. You must give your credit card number and bank account number so that the new warranty can be paid for and set up. You agree and give over the info, never to hear from the so-called warranty company again.

Don't fall for this trick. The Better Business Bureau advises that you should never give out your credit card number over the phone and never trust anyone who is trying to put that much pressure on you to buy. And above all else, never give out your bank account number over the phone.

GM Going Green In American Car Sales

American Car Sales GM recently announced that in order to boost its performance in American car sales it will be investing much of the $9-billion it has saved in cost cuts last year to develop new cutting edge hybrid vehicles, fuel efficient cars and even hydrogen powered cars.

The idea behind this major investment is that it will allow GM to, once again, become competitive with Toyota. GM is staking a lot on the notion that Toyota's recent success has been primarily due to high gas prices. Toyota and GM are currently the biggest powers in American car sales. There will likely be quite a struggle in the next few years, as the two car manufacturers compete for dominance of the American market.

Compact Car Sales Becoming Safer

Car Sales It used to be the case that if you wanted to buy one of today's compact cool new cars you would have to compromise the safety of your new car to do so.  But things in the world of compact car sales are quickly changing.

Today's compacts are being made out of stronger materials and with today's cutting edge safety technology.  In fact the federal government has awarded five-star frontal crash ratings to the 2007 Honda Fit, Hyundai Accent and Chevrolet Aveo. However, the Insurance Institute For Highway Safety still warns that compact cars will always be at a disadvantage to larger vehicles.  Because of the sheer mass and size of many of today's large SUVs, it is nearly impossible for a small compact to provide equal protection.
