Beware! New Car Warranty Scam
There is a new car warranty scam out there that is costing many unsuspecting drivers a lot of money. Here's how the scam works:
You get a call one day informing you that your car care warranty has expired and that you are now responsible for any repairs that the car may need. But you are in luck! If you act right now you can purchase a new car warranty at a very low rate. But if you want the deal you must act now. You must give your credit card number and bank account number so that the new warranty can be paid for and set up. You agree and give over the info, never to hear from the so-called warranty company again.
Don't fall for this trick. The Better Business Bureau advises that you should never give out your credit card number over the phone and never trust anyone who is trying to put that much pressure on you to buy. And above all else, never give out your bank account number over the phone.

It used to be the case that if you wanted to buy one of today's compact cool new cars you would have to compromise the safety of your new car to do so. But things in the world of compact car sales are quickly changing.
Gas prices are down but who knows for how long. It is likely that prices will remain relatively high for years to come. Because of this many drivers are now becoming increasingly aware of their new vehicle's gas mileage and are choosing vehicles that can help save money on gas.
While buying a new car that has a low depreciation rate can really increase your car trade in value, buying a car that has a high depreciation rate can cause you to lose a ton of its original value very quickly. This means that you lose money if you ever decide to sell the car. Properly maintaining any vehicle will insure that its value depreciates more slowly but some models lose their value quickly no matter what.
